Telehealth Informed Consent
Last updated: August 13, 2026
What telehealth is
Telehealth means receiving medical evaluation and treatment remotely, using information you provide electronically: your assessment answers, photos, and messages, instead of an in-person visit. In some states, an initial video visit is required and will be scheduled for you.
What you are consenting to
- Evaluation and treatment by an independent licensed clinician, licensed in your state, based on the information you provide.
- Electronic communications about your care through the portal, email, and text message.
- The transmission of your prescription to a licensed U.S. pharmacy for fulfilment and direct shipment to you.
Benefits and risks
Benefits include convenient access to care. Risks include those inherent to any hair loss treatment (see Safety Information) and limits of remote evaluation: your clinician does not perform a physical exam and relies on the accuracy of the information you provide. Rare technical failures could delay communication. Telehealth is not for emergencies. Call 911 in an emergency.
